He hangs out with me daily on our 40" Carver striper fishing on Texoma. However, the one used in breeding the Smooth Foxie Doxie is the original with the smooth and short coat. There is also a miniature version of each. There are several types of Dachshunds, which include the Wirehaired, Longhaired, and original.

In fact, they were so popular, that the court of Queen Victoria had a few of these dogs as pets.
